My comic book peeps will recognise this as an old-timey term for comics. They may not be funny, but hopefully they are fun in the same way that The Walking Dead or Noam Chomsky can be fun. Which is not to say there won't be a good deal of silliness here. As this is the Journal of New Dutch Technique, we will be challenging genre divisions and conventions. No binaries for us - comic/serious/ art/drivel, highbrow/lowbrow, etc. Uh uh, not here. I'm going to post something new here at least once a week. Contributions from others would be welcome but we have no budget yet and so far, 'we' is me.
